Suffolk Car Parks
We manage high quality car parks, where parking is simple and where customers feel welcome, safe and assured.
Please note, the Wharf car park has extended closures on the following dates:
Wednesday 7 October – car park closed and reopens at 1pm.
Thursday 8 October – car park closed and reopens at 1pm.
Friday 23 October – car park closed until everything taken off site.

Please be reminded that University staff and students can not park in The Hold Car Park.
Notice for University of Suffolk (UoS) car park permit holders
UoS Permit Holders are able to use The University Car Park, Wharf Car Park and Athena Hall Car Park.
Permit Parking:
- Users of The University Car Park and the Wharf Car Park are required to have a University of Suffolk Car Park permit to park.
- Parking without a valid University of Suffolk permit may result in a Parking Charge (PC) being issued.
- To apply for a University of Suffolk Car Park Permit please click here. Please complete and submit the form following the instructions provided.
Roaming Between Car Parks:
If you wish to roam between Athena Hall Car Park, The University Car Park and the Wharf Car Park during one parking session, you will need to purchase your parking stay through the RingGo app.
Parking stays purchased from our pay and display machines will not be valid for roaming between these car parks.
Temporary / Alternatives Vehicles:
If you have a University of Suffolk car park permit and you are using a temporary or alternative vehicle your permit will not be valid. You will be required to contact fmhelpdesk@uos.ac.uk to advise them of your temporary vehicle. You will be required to provide them with the vehicle registration number, make and colour and the period you will be using this temporary vehicle.
The Wharf Car Park
The Wharf Car Park is open Monday – Sunday 06:00 to 19:00
Vehicles can not be released once the car park has closed. Vehicles left overnight may incur a parking charge.

Our Car Parks
To qualify for a University of Suffolk permit, you must be a staff member or a student. To find out more and apply for a permit click the appropriate link below:
If you are a visitor to the university, then please use one of the public pay and display car parks. The closest are Athena Hall or Duke Street. More information can be found on our car parks page.
Parking without a valid University of Suffolk car park permit may result in a Parking Charge (PC) being issued.

Athena Hall Car Park will remain closed until further notice. The nearest car park for UoS permit holders is The University Car Park.

Pay on the day
Parking is free for University of Suffolk car park permit holders who also display a valid Blue Badge. A valid University of Suffolk car park permit must be clearly on display.
Motorcycle parking is free for University of Suffolk car park permit holders in the designated motorcycle parking bays. Motorcycles are required to register for a valid University of Suffolk car park permit. However, this does not have to be displayed.
