Post 1:  Construction Project Manager | 37 Hours per week

Salary: Up to £70,000 (Total Package – Dependent upon Qualifications and experience)

Location: Grafton House, Ipswich

Ipswich is the largest centre in Suffolk for business, culture, entertainment and sports, with a rich history and heritage and has a thriving Waterfront. Ipswich is one of the fastest growing regional centres in England, where there are thousands of homes and jobs planned for the area together with the continued redevelopment of the historic town centre and Waterfront.

Handford Homes was established in July 2017 by its sole shareholder, Ipswich Borough Council. The Council’s priorities include building 1000 homes in a decade but achieving this presents significant challenges in terms of working within tight boundaries, planning constraints, and land availability to name but a few. Handford Homes was set up to help meet these challenges. 

The Candidate

We are looking for a professionally qualified and experienced Project Manager who is enthusiastic, motivated and able to work with stakeholders and design teams to deliver housing projects and other Commercial projects from inception to final sign off. The ideal candidate would be experienced in managing a complex programme of work, across the housing, commercial and retail sectors. An IOSH qualification or equivalent is a must, alongside a good understanding of CDM regulation.

The Role

  • You will take on the role as a lead professional for Hanford Homes and ensure that housing projects are delivered.
  • You will take the lead on preconstruction activities, organise and manage teams of consultants, work with internal and external colleagues to obtain statutory approvals together with input to the procurement of goods and services.
  • You will work with external teams of consultants and contractors to deliver projects on time, to budget and to excellent quality.
  • You will oversee health and safety plans to ensure that projects are fully compliant with regulation.
  • You will be supported by an experienced, dedicated and passionate team who are all committed to providing the very highest standards of housing delivery.

Recruitment Open Day – Door Supervisors and Static Guards

Stage Event Security are currently recruiting new personnel to join their growing team and will be holding two recruitment open days on 22nd & 23rd September at Whitton Sports Centre.

Stage Event Security is on the lookout for new door supervisors and static guards to join their specialist security company in Ipswich. They have two recruitment open days on 22nd & 23rd September between 9am and 9pm. The open days will take place at Whitton Sports Centre, Whitton Church Lane, Ipswich, IP1 6LW, and on-site parking is available.

The open days will be an excellent opportunity for you to speak to Stage about their current job opportunities. You will be able to drop in at any time and have a 20-minute informal interview and fill in an online touch-pad application form.

Anyone is welcome to come down. Regardless of whether you have an SIA licence or not, Stage can help and will help you become employed with them. They will fund your training, licence, uniform and PPE.

Post 1: Cleaning Manager | 37 Hours per week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Cleaning Manager to join us, managing contract cleaning for a wide range of clients. This position is predominantly based in Ipswich with some clients across Suffolk.

Your day will be varied and fast-paced and you will be working in an environment where you can really make a difference. You will be expected to meet with clients and build and maintain positive relationships. You will develop and support your team of cleaners and will be at the forefront of leading this service and ensuring the highest standards are met.

Some examples of your day to day tasks include meeting regularly with your clients and team, completing site audits, arranging the rota, monitoring and managing stock levels at your sites and ensuring the highest health and safety standards are met at all times.

We are a small growing business with a team of positive people that collaborate and support each  other. Working alongside another Cleaning Manager, this role provides you with a real opportunity to make this service your own.

A driving licence and means to travel to our offices in Ipswich are essential, where a fleet of vehicles are available to be used for your working day.

In return, we offer a competitive salary of between £28,256.25 to £30,824.99 per annum, 26 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), LGPS pension, subsidised rail / bus travel for commuting to work.

  • Adhere to Ipserv policies and procedures.
  • Wear correct PPE and uniform.
  • Report faulty machinery or equipment.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety processes and report health and safety hazards.
  • Complete signing in and out procedures via a phone app.
  • Complete stock takes and support the ordering and replenishment of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Where appropriate, carry out keyholding duties including unlocking and locking the site.
  • When appropriate, wear an IPSERV provided lone working device.
  • Liaise with the client to understand ad hoc requirements.
  • Deliver stock, equipment, or documentation to sites.
  • Ensure the company vehicle you use is kept clean and report any faults or accidents.
  • Log vehicle journey mileage

Essential Criteria

  • A full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work alone or in part of a team.
  • Ability to accurately carry out verbal and written instruction to a high standard.
