Vacancy: Cleaning Operative – Mid Week Evening

Location: Bury St. Edmunds

Salary: £9.46 an hour

Accountabilities: Cleaning Services Manager / Cleaning Supervisor

Purpose

To carry out cleaning duties of designated areas as per the site specification provided by the Cleaning Services Manager ensuring necessary standards are met. The role is offered 20:00 – 22:30, Monday to Friday. The role is offered on a fixed term contract.

Main Duties 

  1. Carry out routine and non-routine clinical cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning specification and required standards.
  2. Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and all Ipserv policies and procedures. It is your own individual responsibility to familiarise yourself with the individual site specification including Health & Safety practices. Including safe use of chemicals and equipment (information can be found in the site information and COSHH folders) as well as Fire Safety and Evacuation procedures as well as First Aid box location.
  3. Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
  4. Immediately report faulty machinery to the site Cleaning Supervisor or Cleaning Services Manager as appropriate.
  5. Immediately report health and safety hazards to the Site Manager and the Site Cleaning Supervisor or Cleaning Services Manager as appropriate.
  6. Complete signing in and out procedures, timesheet completion and other paperwork as required.
  7. Report to the Site Cleaning Supervisor or Cleaning Services Manager as appropriate products and equipment that are needed.
  8. Demonstrate IPSERV values at all times. As a representative of Ipserv on client premises it is important that you conduct yourself and appearance in a professional manner. This includes wearing a clean and freshly ironed uniform. You are required to have a fresh and non-offensive odour and to ensure you are clearly displaying your Ipserv ID badge and security pass where appropriate.
  9. All team members are required to record their attendance at their individual place of work via the ‘Timegate’ app on your personal mobile phone. You are required to log into site using your unique personal pin and to log out when your shift has finished.
  10. It is your personal responsibility to ensure you travel to and from your designated place of work – Ensure you arrive in good time for the start of your shift and leave at the correct time and not before the designated shift end time.
